—What is favicon.ico?

Favicon.ico—it's a little icon, which is displayed nearby a bookmar and in the adress bar in the most of browsers. For instance, in Opera it looks this way:

— What sort of files formats does your site support?

Our site supports the converting the most of images formats, including vector illustrations. Here are the most widespread: JPG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, PSD, PDF, EPS, AI, BMP, PCX, TGA, JP2, SVG.

— Does your site support the transparency of icons?

Yes it does. This generator of icons supports alfa-channel with transparency. To create such icons, use the type of basical images, which supports transparency. For example, PNG or GIF

— Is it possible to create large icon?

You may check in the options creating standart icons of 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 and 128x128 pixels.

— For how long your icons are being stored?

We store ceated favicons one month.

— What requirements are needed for basical images?

There aren't special requirements for converting files. The only one req is the size of icon. It doesn't have to be more then 500 kb.

— Is it possible to create icons automatically?

At the moment API functions is being ellaborated. The moment we check the system, you will be able to use automatical icon creation.


Using favicon.ico

— How can I install favicon.ico on my site?

Firstly, download favicon.ico and put in the root directory of your site. After that, you need to add the following lines between tags <head></head>.
